Epiphone casino serial number r96 m 043512/20/2023 If not for the aforementioned, I'd have no suspicion about it. The tuning machines/pegs, although they look like Kluson's, I thought the Kluson's were that greenish type, Most new ones just have the headstock and the inner label just tells the kind of guitar and finish. Most Epiphone guitars have that, if not both the back of the headstock and the inner label. On it (plus the top part of the headstock, both front and back, looked awful glossy compared to the rest of the headstock). The back of the headstock didn't have a serial number stamped Yeh, I was a little suspicious only because of a couple of things. Let's not make assumptions about anyone based upon where they come from. Maybe the Bigsby on this particular guitar was just a retrofit in place of Epi's version of the Bigsby, (or the usual trapeze.) Maybe this one has been refinished, or the embossing is just unclear in the photo.Īlso, the Bigsby strikes me as a little odd.the 1964 Epi catalogue shows that Casino fitted with an Epiphone branded trem. I thought '60s Casinos were stamped with the serial no. According to the Vintage Guitar Info site' date=' the serial number checks out as a 1964 Casino.a "rare bird" indeed. The Casino certainly looks the real deal. So what? I'm not going to draw any conclusions based on that fact.
